[As is probably obvious by this point, Pommy never uses his journal for anything other than checking what other people are saying and making comments on those. He just doesn't have much of his own thoughts to really offer up.

Today, however, he does have a question he's curious enough about to pose to the entirety of Luceti.]

Myu, what's everyone's favorite food from where they're from?

[Yes. It's about food. Don't be surprised.

After listening and responding to any comments that might be coming in, Pommy will wander around the village. As per the usual, you can find him at any of the food places, but you can also find him at the Rec Center later in the day, playing video games. (How he plays video games when he doesn't seem to have any fingers...well. Best probably not to ask.)]

Carrot cake is good, too. A little too sweet for me to eat a lot of, though. But I guess most desserts are like that.

Yep, that's why Pommy likes desserts! But Pommy's also had dango, and that wasn't really as sweet like a cake or something. [Does dango count as dessert?]

[His ears perk at the word "dango." ...It must be because of Nagisa.] That's true. They've got a different kind of sweetness to them. I don't have them often, but they're good. [...] So what's your favorite food, since you're asking?

Pommy likes a lot of different foods, so it's hard to choose just one! But Pommy definitely loves a lot of different desserts, like pineapple upside-down cake and sugar cookies.

[Considering how different those two desserts are from another, Leon gets the feeling 'Pommy' has a lot of experience with desserts.]

Is there any food in Luceti you hadn't had before you arrived?

Pommy had foie gras for the first time in Luceti! Usually it's only at the really expensive restaurants back home, so Pommy can't afford it. But since the food here is free, Pommy was able to eat it!

...I hadn't really thought of expensive foods-- [his tastes ran on the cheaper side] --but that's a good point. There's a lot of stuff here that you can't get at home.

Yep! It's really cool! But sometimes Pommy misses the cooking from back home. The restaurant makes similar foods, but it's not the same.

Kinda like missing home cooking, right? Do you know how to do your own cooking?

Myu, no. Pommy can only make simple things that don't need a stove. [Pommy is also a lazy little marshmallow. Though he can't be blamed for being only 12 inches tall and therefore unable to reach a kitchen counter.]

...Oh. Well, it's never too late to learn. I guess it matters if you know a recipe you can't easily find in Luceti, though. Otherwise it's just easier to get food from the restaurants or stores.

It's definitely easier to get food from other places! But Grune told Pommy that it can be fun to cook, so Pommy thinks it would be good to try it a few times.

Yeah, if you put aside the time to get ingredients and cook, it can be fun. Especially something new. [But most of the time, cooking just seemed like hassle.]

I can! Not as well as my friends back home, but I can if I have to.

What kinds of things can Leon make?

Soups, some salads and sandwiches. I can probably cook some other things if I followed recipes, but I like sticking to fast and easy things. It always seems like I've got places to go, things to do, when I want to eat.

Myu, yeah, that makes sense. Pommy always tries to make sure Pommy has a lot of time to enjoy eating!

It sounds nice. Enjoying eating. [Maybe he should try that once in awhile.]

Myu? Why wouldn't you enjoy eating?

Well, when you're in a rush, you're kinda not thinking about the food you're eating. That's what I mean.

Oh, okay, that makes sense. Something like that happened to Pommy once. The BHB Army was trying to capture Pommy and Bomberman while we were eating, so we had to run from them and Pommy couldn't finish dessert!

[...He has to laugh, just a little, at the idea of this only happening to Pommy once. But he reins in the laughter before long.]

Is Bomberman a friend of yours?

Yep! Pommy was living with him in Diamond City before Pommy got brought to Luceti.

Ouch. Hope you're not missing his company too much.
