[As is probably obvious by this point, Pommy never uses his journal for anything other than checking what other people are saying and making comments on those. He just doesn't have much of his own thoughts to really offer up.

Today, however, he does have a question he's curious enough about to pose to the entirety of Luceti.]

Myu, what's everyone's favorite food from where they're from?

[Yes. It's about food. Don't be surprised.

After listening and responding to any comments that might be coming in, Pommy will wander around the village. As per the usual, you can find him at any of the food places, but you can also find him at the Rec Center later in the day, playing video games. (How he plays video games when he doesn't seem to have any fingers...well. Best probably not to ask.)]

Yes, that's right. You should only have a little dessert at a time, even if it is very good.

It's important to have other foods too so that you can have a balanced diet. [When the hell did you care about balanced meals, Pommy?]

Yes, so you can grow up to be nice and big and healthy. [That's why regular eater Pommy is approaching seven feet tall and Dhaos, who eats maybe once a week, is so tiny.

How big do you think Pommy will grow? [He genuinely doesn't know; he hasn't seen anything else like him or heard of anything else like him. Even Baelfael was rather baffled, and that guy knows a hella lot.]

Hmmm.... [Grune thinks about that for a bit.] I wonder. Maybe someday, you'll grow up to be very tall.

[Which would look as weird as hell.]

Maybe Pommy will be as tall as Grune!

[Yeah, that's kind of freaky to think about.]

Oh, maybe you will! That would be a lot of fun, wouldn't it?

Or maybe...Pommy will be as tall as Dhaos! That would be cool!

[Keep on dreamin'.]

Oh, my. Then you'd be very tall.

[Dhaos is one of the few people who can make Grune look petite by comparison, after all.]

Yup!

...so what's it like being tall? [Because it's likely Pommy will never get to experience that unless he gets smacked with an event or a mallynap effect.]

Oh, it's very nice…I think. [Really, she hasn't thought about it.]

It must be nice, because you can reach things in high places! Pommy can't do that because Pommy is too short, myu.

Hmm.... But you can reach things in low places, can't you?

[bemyused]

But there are lots of cool things in high places, like fruits in fruit trees. And you can reach the kitchen counter and things like that.

Oh, yes, but you can reach things in low cupboards, and find lots of nice things on the ground. You must be able to see the flowers really well.

Myu, Pommy can see the flowers pretty well! Sometimes Pommy can sneak into small places too.

My, that must be very useful. [It's certainly not something Grune can do.]

It's definitely useful! But...Pommy doesn't actually get to use it all that often.

Hmm.... I wonder why.

A lot of small places are scary-looking. And everything else is usually so big around Pommy!

Oh, that's too bad. What kinds of things are big? Maybe we can make them smaller.

Well, like tables. And kitchen sinks. And shelves, too.

Hmm.... Walter makes lots of nice things. Maybe you can ask him to make you a new table.
